Despite the claims of liberals today, the United States is the greatest nation on Earth, and one could well argue, perhaps one of the most civilized nations in all of history.
That’s not to say that our great nation is perfect. It isn’t, and frankly, it never has been, but unlike all other countries, this country, thanks to the wisdom and foresight of its Founders and Framers, has built-in mechanisms designed for self-correction without the need to utterly destroy it in the process.
Over nearly 244 years, the United States has utilized such mechanisms countless times to right itself when at various tipping points that would lay waste to most other nations.
The very foundation of our greatness comes from our founding documents, specifically the Constitution, and its incorporated Bill of Rights, both of which are the envy of the world.
Ben Franklin once said, “What you have, is a Republic if you can keep it.”
Ronald Reagan said,
“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. We didn’t pass it to our children in the bloodstream. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for them to do the same, or one day we will spend our sunset years telling our children and our children’s children what it was once like in the United States where men were free.”
Those are wise words indeed, from sage men who have represented the greatness of this, the most civilized nation on Earth. They knew from the onset of this nation, to its most recent times just how fragile our nation really is, and just how quickly our freedoms could be lost.
Both Franklin, and Reagan were wise men who employed bold, and sometimes brash tactics and strategies in order to “keep the Republic,” and to fend off the “extinction of our freedoms.” In their respective times, both were the sort of men this country needed.
On the other hand, just days before winning the 2008 election, Barack Hussein 
Obama said, “We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.” Obama was not a wise man, nor did he want to “keep the Republic.” He wanted to transform America, and with 2020 hindsight, we now know he wanted that transformation to be centered around socialism. As our Constitution was specifically designed to vest the power of the country in the people, not the government, going from a capitalistic economic model and a form of government of, by and for the people to socialism would require a fundamental transformation.
Obama, and his party were taking Franklin’s words as a challenge, and that same party, after Obama, intended to make their new generation of elected politicians the first generation to wholesale remove the rights of the people and replace them with governmental control of the people.
There exists a word for the ilk of Obama, and his deep state cronies, 
Hillary, Comey, Brennan, Holder, Kerry, and their assorted minions…
Barbarians.
Barbarians are defined as “those of a community or tribe not belonging to one of the great civilizations,” and while some may disagree with putting today’s liberal elite into such a category, I disagree with them. As I stated before, America is not only the greatest country on Earth, it is also one of the most civilized, which makes it a great civilization. Not only is our form of government painstakingly spelled out in our Constitution, but the Bill of Rights arguably provides the basis for civil sense, and thus, our American civilization.
Our government is of, by and for the people, and our rights are not bestowed upon us by our government, rather, endowed us by the Creator. With that in mind, consider what today’s liberal barbarians want to impose upon our great civilization. They intend to limit our right to express ourselves, they intend to remove our right to defend ourselves, they are upending our judicial system by imposing a presumption of guilt to replace the presumption of innocence, they have weaponized our intel agencies against the common citizen, weaponized our revenue department against those who support the other side of 
the aisle, and they have weaponized our education system, and the media to indoctrinate the masses.
Today’s liberals have turned their backs on American citizens, and embraced those in this country illegally, they have extended to those breaking our immigration laws benefits above and beyond the benefits of citizenship, and are bribing illegal aliens for their votes.
If one can classify America as a civilization, and I believe that is indeed an apt classification, today’s liberal community, or tribe as the case may be, frankly do not belong in that civilization by the very definition of barbarians being, “those of a community or tribe not belonging to one of the great civilizations.”
Yesterday’s democrats, and democrat party were, for the most part, civil. Republicans and democrats had different ideas, and championed different things, but the goal of both parties was always finding a better way to keep America, and Americans prosperous, successful, and the envy of the world. Differences could be bridged, and that 
was a hallmark of American civilization. President Reagan was the political opposite of House Speaker Tip O’Neil, but the two always managed to find their way to even the smallest patch of common ground and from it, forge an agreement that created a better America.
But things changed. Yesterday’s democrats, after Reagan, began to move harder to the left becoming “progressives.” That didn’t last very long, maybe through the Bush 41 presidency, but with the advent of Bill Clinton, those “progressives” began to adopt the ideology of socialism. Clinton’s 1993 healthcare reform package was meant to replace private healthcare with a universal healthcare system which would have fast-tracked socialism in America. Hillary Clinton was put in charge of the task force, but liberals couldn’t be open or honest about its socialist foundation. They had to hide that aspect of the plan, and once revealed to a democrat-led congress, the plan fell apart.
There were basically two reasons for the failure of Hillarycare. First, congress didn’t contain enough liberals, as democrats, with a few scattered “progressives” knew that socialism wouldn’t work, and second, because unlike Obamacare, congress actually read it before they voted on it.
The liberal barbarian elite also became more and more reliant on special interest groups for their votes.
Liberals, like more classic barbarians, bided their time through the Bush 43 years, un
til they had amassed enough liberals in the halls of congress, and built up their special interest voting blocs to get Obama elected, and ramp up that proposed “fundamental transformation” from a civilized society and form of government to a socialist system.
The barbarians had breached the gates, and had taken up residence in our elected offices. What followed was as anti-American, as anti-civilized and as invasive to the true American way of life as any hoard of barbarians throughout history.
Economically, Obama’s tribe of liberal barbarians champion socialism which can only bring about social and financial equality at the bottom rung of the socio-economic ladder. They advocate punishing success with extreme taxation, and redistributing what others have earned, to those who refuse to work.
On the world stage, Obama’s tribe of liberal barbarians embraced the most uncivilized ilk this planet has to offer, paved the road for them to achieve nuclear weapons, and 
engineered a doctrine that created vacuums of power in the world’s most dangerous region, and filled those manufactured voids with terrorist regimes, while turning their backs on our greatest allies.
On a social level, Obama’s tribe of liberal barbarians outwardly displayed a genuine hatred of the norms that have made this country great. A hatred of law enforcement, a hatred of the unborn child, a hatred the very idea of a melting pot, and an abject hatred of patriotism. Liberal barbarians occupied Wall Street, engaged in riots and arson in our cities, implemented violent attacks on college campuses to shut down opposing viewpoints, and organized as ANTIFA to attack those with whom they disagreed in the public square.
The liberal’s barbaric tribe hates self-reliance, personal success, the spirit of competition, the concept of winning at anything, and perhaps foremost, today’s liberal tribe of barbarians have a palatable hatred of civility.
For a quarter of a century, since the end of the Reagan presidency, Republicans looked for the next Ronald Reagan, but never found such a leader. The problem was, while the democrat party of yesterday had transformed in the liberal barbarians of today, the Republican Party failed to change, and then something remarkable happened.
It turned out that the next Ronald Reagan wasn’t what we needed, but the first Donald Trump was.
Bold, brash, and with a genuine love of America, and Americans, Trump was what America needed, a businessman, not a politician, a man driven by results, not special interest groups, and a man with a message that resonated with Americans across the spectrum, regardless of economic station, skin color, gender or any other artificial line of divisiveness manufactured by the barbarians who were on the verge of reducing this great nation to a mere shadow of its former glory.
Today’s impeachment proceedings are but a tantrum being thrown by angry barbarians fearing impending irrelevancy due to the successful policies implemented by President 
Trump that are laying waste to the dominance that hubris led them to believe they were entitled to. The barbarians at the gate had elected barbarians to take America to the brink of the abyss, but Trump and his bold policies yanked America away from the brink of the barbarian’s designed disaster, and instead have made America great again.
So, barbarians? Yes, and I believe that today’s liberal elite view barbarism as a tool by which to wreak havoc thus collapsing our great nation’s socio-economic system in order to usher in socialism, under which the people will have no choice but to be completely reliant on the government.
In 1892 Karl Kautsky, a Czech-Austrian philosopher, journalist, and Marxist wrote, “As things stand today capitalist civilization cannot continue; we must either move forward into socialism or fall back into barbarism.”
Barbarians indeed.
It is bad enough when the barbarians are at the gate, but it is far worse when the barbarians roam the halls of elected office. Barbarians in the liberal tribe are now trying to grasp at straws, which is pretty ironic since they have busied themselves banning straws for years.
Ronald Reagan’s words, “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction,” must be adjusted to properly show the clear and present danger of today’s barbarians who roam our nation’s elected offices to reflect that “Freedom is never more than one election away from extinction.” And we must also heed the words of Benjamin Franklin who said, “What you have, is a Republic if you can keep it.”
While today’s tribe of liberal barbarians would quickly dismiss such warnings, as they were delivered by what they deem as old, white men and irrelevant, perhaps a warning from Nigerian born writer, Ben Okri should also be heeded…
“The end of the world begins not with the barbarians at the gate, but with the barbarians at the highest levels of the state.”
Wise words all…wise words indeed.
